Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about building a mini course with Kyoik.

Ask Questions
The Service
What is a mini course and how is it different from a full online course?
A mini course is a focused, 3–7 module learning experience designed to demonstrate your expertise on a single topic, not teach everything you know. Unlike a full online course (which can take months to build and costs thousands), a mini course is built in 3 weeks, costs from $29/month, and is designed specifically to attract leads and build your authority, not replace your paid programs.
How does a mini course help my business grow?
A mini course works in three ways simultaneously. It positions you as the go-to expert by letting prospects experience your teaching quality before hiring you. It attracts warm leads around the clock, as people who finish the course reach out ready to hire. And it keeps your existing audience engaged as a post-workshop follow-up or client onboarding tool.
Who is Kyoik for?
Kyoik is built for professional trainers, coaches, consultants, and subject-matter experts who want to generate leads and build authority online. If you have expertise in any field, whether leadership, finance, compliance, wellness, languages, technology, or anything else, and want a professional way to showcase it, Kyoik is for you.
What topics can I create a mini course about?
Any topic where you have genuine expertise. Our existing demo courses cover ESG, insurance, cybersecurity, business English, Google AI tools, development economics, project management, financial literacy, networking, and more. If you can teach it in a workshop, you can turn it into a mini course. We'll help you scope it if you're unsure where to start.
Process & Timeline
How long does it take to build my mini course?
Three weeks from first conversation to delivery. Week 1: we agree on topic, scope, and branding. Week 2: we build the modules, quizzes, and design. Week 3: you review, we refine, and deliver a live link you can start sharing immediately. Rush timelines may be available. Contact us if you need it sooner.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Very little. You can share existing materials such as slides, notes, outlines, or recordings, or simply tell us your topic and we research and create the content. You review and approve everything before it goes live to make sure it sounds like you and is accurate.
How much does Kyoik cost?
Plans start at $29/month (or $290/year). The Starter plan includes one mini course with 3–7 modules, quizzes, branding, hosting, and maintenance. The Growth plan ($49/month) covers up to three mini courses with priority support. The Scale plan ($69/month) covers up to five mini courses with quarterly content updates. All plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contract.
Pricing & Plans
What is included in every plan?
Every Kyoik plan includes: content creation for your modules, interactive quizzes with randomised question banks, knowledge checks to reinforce learning, your branding (logo, colours, name) throughout, AI-powered text-to-speech narration, an AI course assistant, embedded YouTube videos, progress tracking, mobile-friendly design, full hosting, and ongoing maintenance. Nothing extra to pay.
Will a mini course replace my existing workshops or programs?
No. A mini course supplements your programs, not replaces them. It showcases a slice of your expertise to drive demand for your full services. Think of it as a professional free sample. People who complete your mini course naturally want more, which makes them ideal prospects for your workshops, coaching packages, or consulting engagements.
How does a mini course help me stand out from competitors?
It is proof, not just claims. Most experts have the same credentials and the same LinkedIn profile. A mini course lets prospects experience your teaching quality before they hire you. You can add it to LinkedIn, include it in proposals, and reference it in your speaker bio. When two experts compete for the same client, the one with a professional mini course wins the trust battle.
Results & Use Cases
How do people access my mini course?
Your mini course is a link you can share anywhere: WhatsApp, LinkedIn, email signatures, proposals, and social media. We host it for you so no website is needed. You can also link to it from your existing website or embed it directly on any page using a code snippet we provide. No app is needed and it works on any device in any browser.
Can I use the mini course to engage existing clients or workshop participants?
Absolutely. Many clients use their mini course beyond lead generation. Send it as a post-workshop follow-up so participants can revisit key concepts. Give it to new clients as a structured onboarding experience before the first session. Offer it as a value-add bonus that deepens relationships. Share it before an event so participants arrive prepared. One course, many uses.
Can I update or expand the mini course later?
Yes. Your mini course can grow with your business. You can add modules, create a second course on a different topic, add video introductions, or translate into other languages. Content updates are included in your plan. If you want to significantly expand your course, contact us and we'll scope the changes together.
Can you create mini courses in multiple languages?
English is the primary language for all courses. Courses in other languages are available through our translation partners as an add-on service. If you serve a bilingual or multilingual audience, contact us to discuss options. We currently have demo courses in English that cover international topics relevant to Malaysian and Southeast Asian professionals.
Comparisons & Value
How does Kyoik compare to building a course on Teachable, Thinkific, or similar platforms?
Course platforms like Teachable and Thinkific cost $89–$249 per month and you do all the work yourself: designing, writing, recording, and configuring everything. They are built for selling paid courses, not for lead generation. Kyoik starts at $29/month and is completely done for you in 3 weeks, built specifically as a professional lead magnet for experts.
Why is Kyoik so affordable? What is the catch?
There is no catch. Kyoik uses AI-assisted content creation to speed up research and drafting, and specialises exclusively in mini courses as lead magnets, so we have a proven, efficient process. We do not include unnecessary extras like payment gateways or certificate systems. Hosting, maintenance, and updates are all included. Specialist focus keeps costs low.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
No lock-in contracts. Cancel anytime with one email. Your course goes offline at the end of your current billing period. You can resubscribe anytime and we will put your course back online. We retain your course files so nothing needs to be rebuilt if you return.
Features & Technology
Does the mini course work on mobile devices?
Yes, every Kyoik mini course is fully mobile-responsive. Learners can complete modules, take quizzes, listen to AI narration, and watch embedded videos on any smartphone or tablet. Given that most professionals browse on mobile, we design every course mobile-first. No pinching, no zooming, no frustration.
What is the AI course assistant?
Every mini course includes a built-in AI chat assistant that learners can ask questions in real time as they study. It is seeded with your course content so it gives contextually relevant answers about your topic. This keeps learners engaged, answers questions you would otherwise field manually, and reinforces the impression that you are a thorough, tech-forward expert.
Can I track who has completed the course or how far learners have progressed?
Learner progress is tracked in the browser via progress indicators visible to each individual learner. For aggregate learner analytics and completion data across all users, contact us; enhanced tracking and reporting can be scoped as an add-on depending on your needs and plan.
How does a mini course attract leads if it is free?
Free access is the point: it removes the friction that stops prospects from experiencing your expertise. When someone completes your mini course and finds it genuinely valuable, they reach out already convinced of your competence. These warm leads convert at a far higher rate than cold outreach because trust is established before the first conversation. The course does the selling for you.
What makes Kyoik courses different from a PDF or slide deck?
A PDF is passive. A Kyoik mini course is interactive: it has structured modules, knowledge checks after each section, a quiz at the end, AI narration, embedded videos, and an AI assistant to answer questions. Learners stay engaged, track their progress, and remember more. For you, it signals professionalism and investment in your audience that no PDF can match.
